What happens after you book

  1. Confirmation email

Arrives right away with your appointment time and a link to join the consultation.

  2. Short screening

Around five minutes of questions about your symptoms, your housing and your animal, completed before you meet the clinician.

  3. Your consultation

Fifteen to twenty minutes by video or phone with a licensed Arizona clinician who makes an independent decision.

  4. Your letter

If approved, the signed PDF is emailed within 15 minutes. If not approved, nothing is charged.

How to prepare

  • Find a quiet spot with a decent connection. Video is preferred, phone works.
  • Have your address and, if you know it, your unit number ready. Correct details up front save a re-issue later.
  • Know your animal's name, species and breed. For a psychiatric service dog, be ready to describe the specific tasks your dog performs.
  • Think about how your symptoms affect daily life: sleep, work, concentration, leaving the house. That is what your clinician needs to understand.
  • Bring the honest version. A clinician who has an accurate picture writes a letter that holds up.

This is a scheduled, non-emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 if someone is in immediate danger.

Booking questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. The consultation runs in your browser. A phone, tablet or computer with a microphone is all you need.

What if I miss my appointment?

Use the link in your confirmation email to rebook, or write to support. There is no fee for rescheduling.

Is the consultation private?

Yes. Consultations run over an encrypted connection and your information is handled under HIPAA-aligned controls. See our HIPAA compliance page for the detail.

When exactly do I pay?

Your card is authorized at booking and captured only after approval. A decline releases the authorization and you are not charged.

Can I book for someone else?

The person who needs the letter has to attend the consultation themselves. If they are a minor or you hold legal authority to act for them, mention it when you book so we can set it up correctly.
